Aguayo began her career with UPS as an hourly union worker and was promoted into management, where she handled successively greater responsibilities, and ultimately advanced to the position of area sales manager for Southern California and Hawaii for UPS Supply Chain Solutions. As director of Sales for BostonCoach, Aguayo opened their new sales office in Southern California. Then, channeling her abilities in relationship development, Aguayo broadened her career into the field of education, holding positions of associate director of Corporate Education at the University of La Verne and later, director of Community Outreach at Ameritas College of Brandman University.
Aguayo has an MBA in management and leadership from the University of La Verne, a bachelor’s in communications from the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and an associate’s degree in liberal studies from Los Angeles Valley College. She is the current president of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs for Orange County, Calif., and is a member of the American Society for Training and Development, the National Association of Professional Women, and the Society for Human Resources Management.
