Bayport and Barbours Cut Terminals in Houston will not be able to open today or tonight. The expectation is that they will reopen tomorrow, July 29, after a two-day closure.
The closure is due to software and storage device failures, which support all applications used to operate both terminals. Continued efforts are being made to restore these devices. The Port of Houston has advised that the ships which were already in progress have continued to be worked, but new vessels have not been worked and the truck gates are idle as well. We will continue to monitor the situation and potential congestion and delays due to the closure.
