“The opening of the Tannersville facility will mark the eighth time in 12 months that MIQ Logistics has enhanced its operations by investing in facilities which add more space, improve access, and expand service capabilities,” says John Carr, president and chief operating officer. Other investments in the last year include new logistics centers in Atlanta, Chicago (two facilities), Dallas, Vancouver, Washington, D.C. and Weehawken, N.J., as well as the company’s new world headquarters in Overland Park, Kan.
The Tannersville campus features multiple buildings and more than 250 dock doors. Initially, the company will occupy the 150 dock-door cross-dock facility. The additional space will be used to support anticipated growth.
The logistics center in Tannersville will specialize in distribution services, including flow-through fulfillment, freight forwarding, consolidation/ deconsolidation, forward and reverse logistics and transportation management. The facility will also have the capability to support value added services such as display building and kitting.
